Meet the Class Monday – Sean Riley
Sean Riley is currently the Deputy Chief of the Framingham Police; he has held the role since January 2021. Sean is a 31-year veteran of law enforcement, serving with the Framingham Police since November 2001, Winthrop Police (1996 – 2001), and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department (1993 – 1998). As the Operations Deputy, Sean oversees Patrol, Detective’s, Support Services, Crime Analyst, Strike Team, as well as any sub-units that fall under their commands. In addition to his primary roles, Sean currently serves on the steering committee for the Behavioral Health Partners of MetroWest, and Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line. Sean has also served with Framingham Community Connections, The Alliance for MetroWest Unity, and Downtown Framingham Inc. Sean has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. Sean has his master’s in public administration from Framingham State University (‘23), and is a proud member of the Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi.
