The Leadership Academy is the
Flagship Program of Leadership MetroWest

Participating in the Leadership Academy offers a unique
opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The Program:

  • The Leadership Academy is a year-long learning journey which includes:
  • 1) A two-day retreat in September focused on team-building, personal reflection, and goal-setting for the year,
  • 2) Monthly discussions of important public policy topics in the community,
  • 3) A Positive Leadership & Anti-Racism curriculum with a focus on bringing a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging lens to every decision you make,
  • 4) Site visits to community organizations to shed light on the rich resources available in MetroWest, and
  • 5) Community service projects that allow participants to put into action what they are learning throughout the program.
Flagship Program
Leadership Academy graduates join a network of over 1000 alumni who are positively impacting our community.
Graduates emerge with valuable connections, increased knowledge of the resources available throughout MetroWest, and a clear sense of how they can scale their impact as community leaders.
 
The Equity Scholarship Fund:
1) What – The Leadership MetroWest Equity Scholarship assists historically underrepresented individuals to participate in the Leadership Academy, our flagship program. We value the importance of supporting leaders with diverse backgrounds, and we recognize the need to take concrete steps to bring these perspectives, experiences, and voices into the room.
2) Who – Applicants to the Leadership Academy who come from historically marginalized communities and who work or volunteer for small, community-based organizations with a clear need for financial support.
3) Tuition – The scholarship will cover the full tuition for the Leadership Academy. Selection is based on the merit of the applicant and the financial need of the applicant’s organization.
4) Apply – To be considered for the Equity Scholarship, you must complete the Leadership Academy application and the Equity Scholarship application prior to the June 30, 2025 deadline.
